The Ecstasy of Gold Preview

This Saturday, at the Renegades Arena in Essendon, history will be made as an inaugural champion is crowned, the future battles the here and now, and the journey to the top of the mountain in Australian Professional Wrestling comes one step closer for two individuals. Competition inside the ring provides the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, and while agony will be experienced by those who are served defeat, the promise of the Ecstasy of Gold is too enticing a reward to not lay it all out in the ring.
Emman Azman vs. Zak Sabbath

With Emman displaying a more vicious side to his offense in the past few months, the artists formerly known as “The Kid” has ditched his childlike persona, hoping a change in name and attitude will propel him to unseen heights in ROW.

Azman’s first test come’s against a man on a similar journey, a Dark Prince who believes he will be King one day. Zak Sabbath will make his Renegades debut against Emman, whom he has had no shortage of words for over the past week.

This match is a proving ground for both men. Will Azman show that “The Kid” is dead? or will the Prince find himself with a new kingdom to rule over?

The Bastard Brothers vs The Velocities
To say that this one is a “Grudge Match” would be putting it lightly. After the Velocities released an antagonistic video calling out KrackerJak and GORE, KrackerJak has responded with visceral descriptions of what the siblings plan to do to Paris and Jude in the ring come Saturday night.

While promises of “kicking holes in ribs” and “tearing limbs off like a cooked chicken” may intimidate most, The Velocities seem to be taking it in stride, setting the stage for a showdown between two of the hottest teams in the country!

Will The Bastard Brothers make good on their graphic promises? Or will The Velocities cause a displacement in the playtime of the siblings?

ROW Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match: Mat Diamond vs. Lochy Hendricks

Respect was on full display at Rebellion last month when Diamond and Hendricks touched on their upcoming match. Lochy has gone on record in calling Mat Diamond the best wrestler in Australia that he has yet to wrestle, and ended the exchange with a handshake.

While things were refreshingly restrained last month, when these two share a ring this Saturday, civility will fly out the window. There can only be one inaugural Champion, and both Diamond and Hendricks are determined to be that first title holder.

Will “Loverboy” make good on his promise to the Renegades of being their Champ? Or will The Diamond move one step closer to The Gold?

ROW Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match: Rat Daddy vs. Matt Hayter

Speaking of civility…

Over the last few days footage has emerged of Rat and Matt squaring off before their scheduled bout this Saturday, albeit in a different form of competition.

While it’s all fun and games in the lead up to this important semi-final match, things will become dead serious when these two fight for a spot in the finals of the ROW Championship Tournament!

Will Hayter exterminate the Rat? Or will ROW be “Daddy’s Home?”

ROW Women’s Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match: Aysha vs. Tarlee

The hunger in these two athletes is palpable. Since ROW’s inception, both Aysha and Tarlee have made names for themselves with impressive victories and the confidence to back it up. There is no doubt that these two are future stars in the making.

However, one star will shine brighter as the battle for Gold comes to a head this Saturday! With Shazza McKenzie securing a spot in the finals of the Women’s Championship Tournament, either Tarlee or Aysha will face “The Heartbreak Core” for the chance to become the very first division champion in ROW.

The wrestling world had a taste of things to come when a brawl broke out recently at a gig put on by rock group The Last Martyrs last weekend between the semi-finalists. With animosity levels so intense, will the ring be able to contain the action in the Renegades Arena? Will there be an opponent left for Shazza later in the night after Aysha and Tarlee tear into each other?

Only one thing is a certainty at The Ecstasy of Gold: A Champion WILL be crowned!

Make sure you are there for this historic evening! Tickets available at the door or online bit.ly/ROWGOLD
