The Rise of the Renegades Tournament is now all set for Friday January 23 & Saturday January 24 at the Renegades Arena in Essendon, where the winner will become the first ever Renegades of Wrestling Australian Champion.
Night 1 on Friday January 23 will see the first round matches taking place, with tickets available now. In the A Block, we’ll see Matty Romano vs. Tyson Reed, and Anth Cava vs. JXT. The Eshay is looking for revenge against Matty Romano, after Romano secured his first victory in Renegades against Reed, while Cava and JXT is a dream match between two mainstays of the Victorian wrestling circuit.
In the B Block, Sam Yannis faces Jarvis, while JJ Furno faces Jackson Atlas. Both The Ambush & Rapid Fire have been seeking new opportunities following their contendership TLC match loss in November, but can they get to the semi finals, or will Yannis & Jackson overcome the onslaught?
Night 2 on Saturday January 24 will see the semi final and final round matches taking place. Tickets are available now, and with the action heating up in Renegades for 2026, you can guarantee that this will be a weekend for the ages, with history being made to begin the new year at Renegades of Wrestling.
Don’t miss out on these landmark events! Both nights take place at the Renegades Arena (Essendon Ukrainian House), located at 3-11 Russell St, Essendon, with convenient public transport located on the doorstep with Essendon Station across the road.
Doors for night 1 open at 6.30pm, and doors for night 2 open at 6pm. Both nights are all ages friendly (fans under 16 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian), and we’ll have a well stocked bar both nights with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available (no BYO).
