One of the greatest generational professional wrestlers of all time to come out of Japan will compete at Renegades of Wrestling on Sunday July 28, as KENTA will be appearing at the Northcote Theatre, marking his first ever visit to Melbourne! Tickets on sale now.

At one point signed to WWE (and known as Hideo Itami during his time there), KENTA is best known as being a champion all around the world, with multiple title reigns across several divisions in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH. In the ring, his hard-hitting style has earned him the reputation of being one of the fiercest strikers in the industry, and the added presence and aura surrounding KENTA has won over fans from across multiple generations.

On Sunday July 28, KENTA will be competing against the monster known as GORE. Known to the Renegades audience as “Snuff Daddy”, GORE is also a skilled mixed martial artist, well versed in Muay Thai & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In the ring, he has repeatedly shown an unrelenting, physically punishing style; one that many opponents have found tough to overcome.

Both competitors have shown that they bring an incredible form of violence to the ring, which makes it apt that they’ll be facing off at our event titled “We Choose Violence.”

As an added bonus, thanks to the team at DEFY Wrestling, we are proud to announce that this match will be for the DEFY World Championship, currently held by KENTA. This is a unique opportunity to not only see an iconic wrestler in action, but to witness a world championship defended in the heart of Melbourne’s inner north, where a title change means massive implications for the independent wrestling world stage.

KENTA vs. GORE adds to an already impressive lineup for “We Choose Violence,” with a cage match also scheduled for the event, between Lochy Hendricks and Gino Gambino.

Tickets for this landmark all-ages event are available now, and meet & greet options are also available both online and at the door on the day. We advise booking early, as this is going to be an afternoon of professional wrestling not to be missed!
