Last month, at Collingwood Town Hall, there was a revolution. This coming Saturday, there will be an Uprising, let’s preview what’s ahead.
After ROW launched in explosive fashion on April 30th, all eyes are now focused on those who proudly call themselves Renegades and their path to the biggest prizes in the promotion. With four ROW Championship tournament matches, highly anticipated debuts from marquee players, and multiple proving ground battles on the card, this Saturday will be an event that cannot be missed!
Emman the Kid vs. Mat Diamond
In the inaugural match of the inaugural event for ROW, Mat Diamond picked up the victory in a triple threat match that showcased the veteran’s talent and bright future as a Renegade. Unfortunately, Emman was unable to mirror that success in his tag team matchup against Diamond’s fellow Velocities Paris de Silva and Jude London.
Redemption is on the mind of The Kid at Uprising, where he has an opportunity to get in the win column against Mat. Will Emman set the a new standard in ROW against Diamond? Or will Mat show The Kid that his dreams are merely child’s play?
The Bastard Brothers vs. SGB
Following an exciting battle between The Velocities and The Golden Eagles, a new team emerged to wreak havoc on those still left in the ring and announce their intentions to unleash mayhem within the division. Sibling rivalry has transformed into a violent and slightly deranged alliance as Krackerjak and GORE have joined ROW as The Bastard Brothers!
The Snuff King and The Australian Wrestling Legend find themselves across the ring on Saturday night from Levi Nixon & Sam Yannis, collectively known as SGB. With a war of words already being engaged throughout social media, the young upstarts will need to back up their potentially dangerous boasting.
Will SGB get the upset against the formidable Brothers? or will GORE and Krackerjack make an example of Sam and Levi in just how mad they truly are?
Renegades of Wrestling Championship Tournament First Round Match : Murdoch vs. Rat Daddy
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rat Daddy was unable to make his ROW debut last month at We Are Renegades. This coming Saturday, he will finally step foot inside Collingwood Town Hall to square off against one of his originally appointed opponents Murdoch!
While Murdoch came up short in the Triple Threat, the passion and skill the talented prospect displayed in that match has convinced management to provide “Ya Boi” with an opportunity to become the first ever ROW Champion. But Rat Daddy has been awarded the same luxury, and will do everything he can to gnaw his way to the top of the mountain.
With only one man proceeding in the tournament, will “Ya Boi” ultimately go on to become “The Man?” Or will Murdoch forever regret the fact that, at Uprising, Daddy’s home?
Renegades of Wrestling Women’s Championship Tournament First Round Match : Tarlee vs. Aysha
In the first of two first round tournament matches to crown the inaugural ROW Women’s Champion, Tarlee and Aysha will face off in what will surely be an explosive encounter! With both women emerging Victorious at We Are Renegades, one of these competitors will make it 2-0 while the other will have their first loss handed to them.
Both wrestlers fight with an impactful style and a ferocity that would do them well to win the entire tournament! Will Tarlee’s STAR continue to rise? or will Aysha continue to enjoy the perks of being First Class?
Robbie Thorpe vs. Jake Andrewartha
While the entire roster of ROW proudly proclaimed themselves Renegades last month in Collingwood, there were a select few that also chose to call themselves by another name. “The Final Boss” Jake Andrewartha has amassed a group of followers that were introduced last month to the fans in attendance as “The Dominion of Violence”.
As leader of the faction, Andrewartha will no doubt be sending a message to the entire locker room when he faces Robbie Thorpe at Uprising. However, Thorpe is no pushover, and is a rare matchup in size for the Judo legend!
Will Violence prevail? Or will Thorpe topple the Dominion?
Delta vs. Kingsley
It a battle between two wrestlers both making their ROW debut, Delta will lock up with Sydney wrestling staple Kingsley!
Delta has described herself as “The Godzilla” of the Women’s Division and, ROW fans could very well see a monster unleashed at the Collingwood Town Hall. Kingsley, however, has never backed down from a fight, no matter how formidable or fearsome her opponent has been. With a keen ring awareness and an uncanny ability to stay properly hydrated throughout her matches thanks to her beverage of choice always at ringside, Kingsley may just have what it takes to douse the fire threatening to envelop Renegades of Wrestling.
Will Delta add “Kingslayer” to her already impressive resume? Or is victory written in the tea leaves for Kingsley?
Renegades of Wrestling Championship Tournament First Round Match : Matt Hayter vs. Lochy Hendricks
Lochy Hendricks shocked everyone on April 30th. While everyone expected Hendricks to run his mouth as per usual Loverboy antics, the polarizing figure instead spoke from his heart, winning over the crowd in attendance with his passion for the business.
Management have rewarded that passion and entered Lochy into the Men’s Championship Tournament, where he has his work cut out for him against Matt Hayter!
During his magnificent manifesto, a vow was made by Lochy: that he would become the first ever Renegades of Wrestling Champion. Conversely, as the current reigning Riot City Wrestling Title Holder, Matt has a taste for being at the top of a promotion and has his eyes set on a repeat in ROW!
With his first found match against an established World Champion, the stakes have never been higher for “The Loverboy”. Will he fulfil his vow and silence his newfound “Hayter”? or will the RCW Champion move one step closer to becoming “Matty Two Belts”?
Renegades of Wrestling Women’s Championship Tournament First Round Match : Shazza McKenzie vs. Lena Kross
Speaking of vows…
While not there in person, at We Are Renegades Shazza McKenzie still found a way to make the entire crowd sit up and take notice with a video message to the entire Women’s Division. “The Heartbreak Core” has called her shot, and will begin her road to be crowned ROW Women’s Champion when she encounters Lena Kross in the final first round tournament match of the night!
Despite coming up short, Kross had an impressive debut at We Are Renegades, and knows that a win against a huge name such as Shazza will wipe her loss from the minds of the fans. Lena is a veteran of the ring, and understands that the video message McKenzie sent out was meant to intimidate, a tactic that won’t work on her.
Will Shazza break the heart of her adversary by sending her out of the tournament in the first round? Or will Lena show McKenzie that she’s not one to be Krossed?
It all comes to an Uprising this Saturday June 4 at Collingwood Town Hall!
