On Saturday April 30, Renegades of Wrestling invaded the Collingwood Town Hall, presenting their inaugural show to a packed house of fervent fans. With an exciting card full of hard-hitting action, topped of by a monstrous homecoming, hundreds of voices formed into a unified proclamation of “We Are Renegades!”
Mat Diamond def Murdoch and Robby Heart
In the first match of the evening, the Diamond Standard was set when Mat secured the pinfall to win this opening Triple Threat.
Aysha def Lena Kross
Aysha’s absolute ferociousness was on display, ignoring the size advantage Lena Kross possessed and putting her away with a vicious DDT for the three count.
Lochy Hendricks Speaks
No one in the crowd knew what “Loverboy” Lochy Hendricks was going to say. Entering the ring in a suit, eschewing his usual bravado, Hendricks candidly spoke from the heart, telling those in attendance:
“I can’t help but shake this feeling that it feels like I am home” – Lochy Hendricks
After giving his thanks to certain key renegades, Lochy made his intentions clear: becoming the first-ever ROW World Champion!
The Velocities def The Golden Eagles (Emman the Kid and Robbie Eagles)
Despite clearly being the fan favourites, The Golden Eagles had their wings clipped by the more experienced tag team of The Velocities.
Post-match, Krackerjak and GORE stormed the ring and took out The Velocities, declaring that “The Bastard Brothers” would be making their presence felt in ROW in a big way!
Tarlee def Caity Luxe
Persevering in the early stages of the match and overcoming the ring awareness of Luxe, Tarlee was able to hit a Double Leg Slam on Caity and pick up the win.
After the match, a video message was delivered to the crowd by none other than Shazza McKenzie, who informed Tarlee and the ROW Women’s Division that she would be making her Renegades debut Saturday 4 June at UPRISING!
Tommy Knight def Kendo
In what was a quick but brutal affair, Knight squashed Kendo’s wishes of winning in decisive fashion by gaining the pinfall victory.
JONAH def Caveman Ugg
In the Main Event, after an absence of three years in Australia, JONAH’s homecoming was celebrated with a win over the equally monstrous Caveman Ugg!
